coop map authorization problem

i recently downloaded several coop maps, most work fine but when i switch to certain
missions, vertigo, vietnam and a few others. i join and the screen says authorization complete
it boot me and says(player not qualified for this misssion). i am 75 honor and have completed all aa
training except medic. can someone help me out and tell me what i need to do to qualify for these mission.

first: do you try to play them on your own server, or on another server?
The error you are getting is serversided, the not qualified message often goes when the tour.ini file on the server isn't editted the right way, and has nothing to do with you or your training.

i am running the maps on my home based server. any help on the ini file modification
nessesary would be appreciated

Oke Steve,

You have to modify your Tours.ini, and make a new section on for the custom maps, in that section you can create or copy the new ini for that specific map you want to play.
If you ingame do a map switch, the the server will go automaticly to unauthorized mode.

For exsample:




First.. Increase the tour count, like the map count.

* Defined Tours for America's Army
[Tours]
NumTours=32



Next add a tour, its only part way down the file, after the last tour and before the basic training definitions.

Next Start a new Mission section matching your tour definition, at the bottom of tours.ini.

MissionImageDisabled(0)=None
MissionMapFilename(0)=DeepFreeze

And next map will be *1 and the numMissions will go up to by each map!!
The 0 will be a 1 by the next map yoiu add, and the name of the new map comes instead of DeepFreeze in the exsample

and so on, restart server after the change to the ini and have fun.

thanx man i had to make changes like this to flight sim for panels and gauges so
i should be able to handle it. but i have 1 more question, are you saying i should
modify my tours ini in my aa game folder or is it in the server setup.

Im Talking about the tour.ini on your server, not the ini's in your game AA folder, or you must be playing and running the server from the same pc

i am runnning and playing off my machine.
i modified the ini file in my aa folder just like you told me, then ran it and it worked,'
i could play the map i put into the ini file, was that correct or do i still need to dig out the server ini and change that too. thank you for taking the time to really explain all this and give me the mod examples that was really cool and helpful.

If you play and run server from same machine you did it right, maps are playing right?

the maps are working great, my guys and i are having a blast with it.
were mostly a bf2 clan but have recently got back into aa and the coop side of it.
